Domestic Disaster Response
LOVE MERCY DO JUSTICE

When domestic disasters strike, Love Mercy Do Justice responds quickly, working with regional conferences, local Covenant churches, and partners on the ground to provide timely relief.

With winter approaching, hundreds of Alaskan villagers have been displaced by Typhoon Halong with the primary need being food and shelter. Alaska superintendent Curtis Ivanoff said, “Our Alaska community is rallying around the Yukon-Kuskokwim area that has been devastated, especially the villages of Kipnuk and Kwigillingok.” We invite members of the Covenant community to help carry the burdens of our Alaskan sisters and brothers by giving to our Domestic Disaster Response fund.

Crises expose the vulnerability of those on the margins, highlighting their urgent need. Like the Good Samaritan, we are called to see, serve, and come alongside our neighbors in their times of greatest need. Jesus teaches us to show compassion, especially during times of crisis. Learn more about how your church can respond to natural disasters.

Your gifts help sustain long-term recovery efforts and allow us to stand with Covenant churches and local partners as they provide critical relief. Thanks to your support, we have been able to respond to recent climate disasters, including Typhoon Halong in Western Alaska, wildfires in CaliforniaHurricane Helene in North Carolina, Hurricane Milton in Florida, Hurricane Beryl in Texas, the Maui wildfires in Hawaii, and Typhoon Merbok in Alaska. Together, we stand with those affected, offering hope and tangible support in their time of need. Thank you for being part of this vital work.
