Caring for Peacemakers in the Middle East
Caring for Peacemakers in the Middle East
MIDDLE EAST NORTH AFRICA | PROJECT GOAL: $46,600
Those working on the front lines of ministry and reconciliation work often carry the heaviest burdens—supporting others while navigating personal grief, trauma, and exhaustion. After years of violence in Israel and Palestine, the effects are being felt in every family and community, affecting emotional health, relationships, and the capacity to pursue peace.
In partnership with Bethlehem Bible College and Churches for Middle East Peace, FOWM 2026 will partner to equip local leaders with the tools needed for healing, resilience, and long-term peacemaking. Through Bethlehem Bible College's newly launched professional diploma in psychological trauma counseling, students—many already serving as pastors, teachers, social workers, and ministry leaders—will receive culturally grounded, faith-informed training in trauma care. These leaders are then better equipped to serve their communities with skill, compassion, and hope.
Support through FOWM 2026 will also provide mental health support for Churches for Middle East Peace staff who are engaged in daily advocacy, accompaniment, and reconciliation. Through individual counseling, group sessions, and self-care planning, frontline peacemakers are supported so they can sustain their work with wisdom and resilience.
In partnership with local leaders and trusted institutions, we have an opportunity to care for brothers and sisters in Christ as they care for others and reflect the holistic reality of the gospel.
Will you help equip peacemakers to care well for themselves and others, laying foundations for healing in a land longing for wholeness and hope?
