A Call to Compassion
A Call to Compassion
WHEN THE IMAGE OF GOD IS SUFFERING AMONG US
Across our nation, many immigrant and refugee individuals and families are facing moments of deep uncertainty and need.
Christians may hold different views on policies around immigration, yet we share a common calling to respond with compassion when suffering is present among us. As followers of Jesus, we are called first to see one another as people made in the image of God—worthy of dignity and care.
This collaborative call from Love Mercy Do Justice and Covenant World Relief and Development invites churches and individuals to prayerfully consider how they might offer Christ’s hand to families who are facing fear and displacement—often with nowhere to turn.
This effort exists to offer compassionate, Christ-centered care in a time of vulnerability. Funds will support partners and churches providing groceries, rent assistance, legal support, and other immediate needs—offering a merciful and pastoral response of care to our neighbors in need.
