The Karawa Coffee Project
The Karawa Coffee Project is supports over 2,000 small-scale coffee producers in an effort to reduce extreme poverty, enhance food security, build the economy, and develop sustainable agricultural practices through the revitalization of coffee production in northwest Congo.
- $25—$75 per month = Buys farming tools for 1-3 coffee sites
- $35—$150 per month = Buys 1-5 sacks of disease-resistant coffee seeds
- $45—$250 per month = Buys seeds for intercrops (corn, rice, beans, peanuts, and manioc)
- $55—$300 per month = Trains coffee producers in effective agriculture techniques
- $80—$450 per month = Buys cultivating and harvesting equipment
- $110—$550 per month = Maintains 1-5 motorcycles for the agronomists
