Ministry Overview: We work in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, at Rain Forest International School. Our focus at RFIS is youth discipleship and supporting/keeping global personnel on the field by providing a safe and excellent education for their kids. Originally a school for missionary children started by Wycliffe Bible Translators, RFIS is now in partnership with several other missions including the Covenant. RFIS serves kids from Cameroon as well as a variety of international backgrounds. Karl primarily teaches in the sciences and Mary is a music teacher. Karl has a small group Bible study with the ninth grade boys on Thursdays after school, and Mary leads the worship team for the school — students plan chapel once per week. Mary is also a co-leader in a Saturday kids Bible club in a largely unreached and under-resourced neighborhood where one of our longtime Cameroonian friends lives. This year we have also been managing our mission “hospitality center.”
