Gospel Unity in Korea
Although more than 70 Christian organizations have served in North Korea for the past 25 years, collaboration and partnership between these organizations have been limited. It is the goal of the church to share God’s heart of love, unity, and reconciliation with the world by modeling missional unity through the global body of Christ.

Reah International exists to empower and equip the global body of Christ to engage well with the church in Korea for the sake of the gospel in both North and South Korea. Through Great Harvest 2027, Reah plans to address the culture of isolation that is prevalent throughout the church in North Korea by challenging churches and organizations to recruit, train, and send young and young at heart professionals, or “fellows,” to work with North Korean refugee churches in South Korea.

Reah’s goal is to empower the global church to train 600 fellows from Brazil, Canada, China, North and South Korea, and America for missions by 2027. The expectation is that many of these fellows will consider relocating to North Korea long-term by 2027 or as soon as the opportunity becomes available.

In the first phase of the project, fellows will partner with North Korean refugee churches in South Korea through presence and service, with the hopes that their engagement will buffer the tension between North and South Koreans.

The second phase of the project will consist of increasing the fellows’ understanding of North Koreans inside North Korea through language learning and cultural orientation. At the end of this training, the fellows will have options to serve the lost and the vulnerable in North or South Korea.

Great Harvest 2027 is built upon the premise of the work that God is already doing in this part of the world rooted in the promise—“to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ” (Ephesians 1:10) that “they may be brought to complete unity" (John 17:23).

Will you support Serve Globally in enabling Reah’s vision of mobilizing the global body of Christ to join the church in Korea for the sake of the whole gospel?
